This two part episode is a conversation with the mother of Svati Narula a 23 year old writer who lives with type 1 diabetes. In the spring of 2015 Svati traveled to Mount Everest where she was caught in an avalance when an earthquake shook the magastic mountain. Her story, told here from her mother's perspective, is one that should not be missed. Episode #22 is part 2 of 2.

This week's conversaton centers around three topics. Arden's last endo visit, managing sporting events with diabetes and my reaction to Arden when she resists the care methods that I think are best. I also address some things I've seen on Facebook and say Chit Chat one too many times.

In February of 2015 twenty-two year old Will Hauver was found unresponsive in his dorm room. Will was the captain of his college lacrosse team and the person who made the first Egg Crack Challenge video to raise awareness for type 1 diabetes, the disease that he had since he was fifteen years old.

Episode 19 of the Juicebox Podcast is a conversation with Will Hauver's long-time friend Paige Kennedy and his mother Lyndal Hauver.

I received this note from Stefanie: "I wanted to volunteer to do one of your conversational podcasts. I come across a lot of t1d parents that are intimidated by travel & my family loves to travel. We traveled internationally & domestically before diagnosis and have continued that lifestyle since diagnosis. For example, my daughter, Randi, was diagnosed 1 year ago in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and we went on a cruise 8 weeks after diagnosis. I'm hopeful that sharing our experiences will help make parents more comfortable with the idea of traveling the globe with their t1d kiddos."
